Oakridge Red Tailed Hawk

Oakridge resident Eric Swanson caught a picture of this Red Tailed Hawk. It was perched in a tree near his house. 

A few weeks back Eric followed a pair of these hawks up Oak Springs. They were flying from rooftop to rooftop and were well lit in the morning sun; unfortunately he did not have he camera.

This was a quick, one handed shot with his dog, Sevy tugging at her leash. You can see the prey held in it's talons. Eric's camera was set for indoor lighting because he did not have time to adjust. The hawk immediately took off!
