ONA Recipe Box -- Baked Fruit

Baked fruit makes a healthy and delicious dessert.

Ingredients

2 apples OR 2 pears OR 2 peaches
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
2 tablespoons raisins
Apple juice
Cinnamon
Low-fat granola

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Core apples, cut pears in half and remove seeds, and/or cut peaches in half and take out the pit. Place in a baking dish, sprinkle with vanilla and raisins. Add a little apple juice to the baking dish, cover with foil, and bake until tender (about 25 minutes). Serve hot with a sprinkle of chopped pecans, granola and cinnamon to taste.
